Campanula, a bell with many faces. Campanula comes from a large family of more than 300 species (Campanulaceae). You guessed it: the botanical name is the Latin word for "bell". And this clock ticks everywhere else.
COLORS AND SHAPES
Campanula is a real summer flower in the colors white, pink and purple. On the usually long stem you will find a flower in the shape of a bell. The bells open further during flowering, but otherwise the punctual flower has few surprises in store.
SYMBOLISM
Did you know that the fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm is named after the rapunzel clock? But also small animal lovers are named after the campanula. What an honor! You have a bluebell sandbee, a small bellbee, a large bellbee and a bluebell thick leg. All these wild bees love the treats inside the capsule.
ORIGIN
The campanula is mainly found in the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Some well-known siblings of the bellflower are the Northern European harebell, the rough bell, mountain bell and the rapunzel bell. The choice is huge!
