Often called Palm Twizzles. "Jhat" means tangled in Sanskrit and the word is often used to describe tangled hair, which is a very accurate description. These are from the Borassus flabellifer a very important tree in Asia because parts of the palm are used for many things. Fruits are eaten and used to make grog and one of the other palms is Toddy Palm. Leaves are used for cane covering and weaving and were even used as paper in Indonesia in ancient times.
