Fresh limonium, vintage life with the limonium. Maybe the name means nothing to you, but you recognise Limonium as the dried flower of the 80s. Anno now, this summer flower is all the way back and suits a vintage way of life perfectly.
COLOURS AND SHAPES
Summer Limonium can be found in white, blue and sometimes yellow, lilac, purple, pink and bicoloured varieties. The petals look a bit like paper. You also have beautiful branching varieties with almost misty-looking branches, full of tiny flowers in shades of grey, blue or lilac.
SYMBOLIC
Unfortunately, little is known about the symbolism of the Limonium as a flower. However, various stories circulate about its leaves: they are said to have medicinal properties and stem flowing blood. The flower petals are there more for the sweet look. For us, therefore, she is a grateful friend: strong, helpful and sweet.
HOME
Limonium is found in the wild in the Mediterranean region. The name Limonium comes from Leimon (Greek) and means meadow. The plant grows mainly near the sea, so in a salty meadow actually. The flower is also known as Statice or sea lavender.
